Broker's Comments
This Rogger 36 has been in current ownership since 1988. She is a classic long distance motorsailer and is excellent value.
Owner's Comments
"She was built in Stangate Marine in 1979 for a boxing promoter, costing around £34,000 Pounds Stg., which was a lot of money at the time.
I first saw this boat in 1988, it was love at first sight. That love has endured to the present day. We acquired her and began the task of bringing her back to her former glory. She has been the luckiest and happiest boat one could wish for. In October 1988 a friend and I took her to Falmouth where my wife and I lived on board in the old marina there.
In June 1989 we sailed to Le Havre and traversed the Seine, Saone-Marne, Rhone and on to the Med. via Cap d'Agde and then on to Majorca for two years and Puerta de la Duquesa for the following two years.
She remained in Duquesa until 1999, when I hired a skipper to bring her home via the Midi Canal.
Once home we renovated her again. Since then we have sailed her out of Monkstown Bay in Cork Harbour from May through September and then laid her up ashore from October to April every year in Crosshaven Boatyard."
