The Cornish Shrimper combines the best of design and construction techniques with the sheer practicality of a traditional gaff rig to ensure really outstanding ability under sail. Features such as shoal draft, excellent accommodation for her size, trail-ability and effective auxiliary power from a 10 HP Yanmar diesel engine. She is ideal for negotiating long tidal channels to open water, for fishing, for driving through a tough head sea or for just pottering in the evening calm. She has sparkling performance under sail or power. - room for four or more in the cockpit. - comfortable berths for two in the cabin. - Cockpit tent provides for two further berths and extends covered space. - Easily trailed by the larger family car. Extend your cruising grounds and bring home for the Winter. Can be rigged (including mast raised), launched, sailed and retrieved single-handed. Halyards and controls are led back to the cockpit. - Shoal draft with retractable centre-keel and rudder plate allows shallow water sailing in safety. She dries out happily day after day if required. She sails on mainsail or jib alone. Secure locker - Deep fore-deck well for crew safety when anchoring and for stowage of ground tackle. - Tough construction with foam buoyancy firmly retained by bulkheads.
